It’s about a 70-minute drive to the Shikoku Karst, one of Japan’s three major karst formations, about 50 minutes to Nakatsu Valley along the Niyodo River, known for its Niyodo Blue, about 70 minutes to Yasui Valley, and about an hour to the entrance to the Ishizuchi Mountain Climbing Hut Route. For those traveling between Matsuyama City (Ehime Prefecture) and Kochi City (Kochi Prefecture), the Shikoku Karst and Niyodo Blue are must-see scenic spots along the way. Climbing the summit of Mount Ishizuchi, the highest peak in western Japan (1,982m), is also within day-trip distance from the villa.
